Chelmsford City Council is currently in the process of reviewing its Local Plan to provide for growth up to 2036. The emerging Local Plan has identified Danbury as capable of sustaining housing growth of approximately 100 new homes based on existing constraints. We recognise that Danbury is a unique village in Essex and that any housing development should be sensitive to the local surroundings.

Hill are promoting land of Mill Lane through the Neighbourhood Plan. We currently envisage a development of up to 77 new homes on the site. The scheme will comprise of a range of high quality new homes, which will be compliant with Chelmsford City Council planning policies. The scheme will be extensively landscaped to respond to the edge of village setting of the site and provide high quality public open space for use by the new and existing residents of Danbury.
